The CleanAir Express FLW6
FLOW PANEL is a compact 19" rack mount panel designed
to control sample and calibration gases to extractive analyzers
for
CEM and process control
applications. Design features include an auto mode for remotely
controlling up to 13 functions from your data acquisition
and control system for automated calibrations.
Manual
control is simplified with interlocking push button switches
and status
outputs for flagging data. Three calibration gas inputs
(High, Mid, Low) for each channel and a separate zero
gas input.
Adjustable flow rate for probe tip calibration and sample
out (A,B,C,D).
Separate
pressure regulators for both sample
and calibration gas provide reliable calibrations by
matching pressure and flow. Individual channel calibration
allows
other
channels to stay online.
Water
intrusion alarm light and contact output for disabling
sample pump if moisture
is detected in
system.
Backpurge
function controls air and remote solenoid contacts for
blowback of sample probe and filter.

Tester Comments :
We
use the FLW-6 on CEM projects for quick setup and hands-off
cal gas management. To
manage the FID cal
gas
to the
probe tip we use the 5-Channel Calibrator in
combination with
the FLW-6 for
the other dry gas analyzers.
The
solenoid values require properly maintained gas cylinder
pressure regulators to ensure the gas pressure to the solenoids
never exceeds 40 psig. Pressure regulators which cannot
control pressure with zero flow should not be used.
It
is very important to filter the sample gas before it
enters the FLW-6. The MAK Plus Gas Transfer
System is excellent
for this with the filter differential pressure indicator
and the auxiliary filter built-in. These eliminates
the stressful situation of identifying a filter plugging
problem
and
then deciding whether to bypass or delay the test.
