Sample Delivery and Conditioning System (SDCS)
Sample Delivery and Conditioning System(SDCS)
Expand the range of applications for your portable GC/MS and INFICON® HAPSITE® with a sample delivery and conditioning system that handles hostile gas environments and gives you reliable results the first time, on-site, immediately. This versatile system Clean Air Engineering Sample Delivery and Conditioning System (SDCS) - allows the environmental engineers to measure hot, wet samples. No other portable GC/MS has an interface system which can sample directly into a smoke stack, and no other system offers real time analysis. Why send samples to a lab, then wait two to three weeks for results, when the SDCS helps provide results in two to three minutes? This low bias instrument conditions the undiluted sample, delivering a gas the analyzer can handle, without changing the content or characteristics of the sample.

Features
· Allows for instantaneous results
· Eliminates additional laboratory costs
· Increases efficiency with a portable, easy to handle system
· Eliminates requirements for complete moisture removal
· Minimizes contact between the sample gas and condensate
· Eliminates leaks and sample dilution via sample pressurization
· Provides total control over sample conditioning process
· Enables you to quantify gas concentrations to establish sample rates for VOST testing

Probe Module

Part Number 0351

Within the probe module, all components are maintained above the dew point of the sample which is typically 120°C. The sample is extracted form the stack through a heated probe, the filtered and pressurized within the probe module. Calibration gas mixtures are introduced to the probe through a tee and solenoid in the probe module. The pressurized sample is maintained above the dew point while traveling through the heated sample line to the conditioning module. Pressurization insures that any system leaks will not result in sample dilution or loss.

Conditioning Module

Part Number 0350

In the condition module, a fraction of the sample passes through a cooler, where sample moisture content is significantly lowered by reducing sample temperature. This process assures that the sample meets the minimum conditions of the analyzer. The sample is then reheated and mixed with the original, uncooled sample stream which bypassed the cooler. The combined stream is brought to 60°C, filtered to remove condensed particulate, and then made available to the GC/MS analyzer at atmospheric pressure.
