The Clean Air Express Air Cooled Method 5 Probe is designed for high temperature source testing. Air flows through a center cooling tube around the liner and perforated liner support tube allowing the sample temperature to be reduced to 250 °F. The air then flows between the cooling tube and the outer sheath to bring the sheath temperature down. A high temperature cable heater ensures the sample temperature is maintained at the desired set point. Inconel type S pitot and type K stack thermocouple are standard. Flex tubing is used to supply air from the 130 cfm blower which is housed in the lower part of a divided sample oven. Airflow may be adjusted with a manual damper.
