Graseby-Andersen Mark III Eight Stage Cascade Impactor
The Mark III in-stack cascade air sampler is a multi-stage, multi-jet impactor for stack particulate effluents in moderate grain loading applications. It measures aerodynamically and automatically classifies particulates into multiple size ranges and accounts for all their physical properties such as size, shape and density. Andersen's impactor is made of stainless steel with Inconel O-rings and is able to withstand temperatures of 1500° F, if used without special collection substrate and back-up filter. If your application requires a substrate filter, the impactor will only withstand temperatures up to approximately 800° F. The gooseneck inlet nozzle and internal high capacity preimpactor fit through a minimum 3" port.

Helpful Hints:
Our experience shows that the Mark III Eight Stage Impactor can be operated without the use of the cross hairs as long as no backflow of gas through the probe occurs-which would destroy any sample. The cross hairs can introduce more error due to substrate sticking. Substrate sets are available from Clean Air Engineering. Please consult your Customer Service Representative.
