We are currently looking for the following positions for our Houston office:


ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

We are currently looking for employees that will operate, maintain, install and repair air quality measurement equipment.  This position requires a good knowledge of electronics with the ability to work on the mechanical portion of the equipment as well.  Daily tasks include working with equipment inventory/quality control software.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, procedure management and parts inventory control.  You will work closely with our senior technicians but are expected to work independently as well.  An aptitude for troubleshooting faulty equipment and systems with the ability to talk with clients to solve their technical problems is also desired. In addition to daily technical duties there will be a requirement to perform shipping function such as packing/unpacking and shipping/receiving equipment.

This position requires nation wide travel for onsite installations. These installations sometimes require you to work in cramped locations that can be up to 200 feet off the ground. In addition, you will be required to spend the first month training at our corporate offices in Palatine, Illinois.
 Requirements EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
Computer operation is a must with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
A can-do attitude
Good mechanical and electrical/electronics aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely matter
Ability to lift 65 lbs.
Ability to climb a 40’ ladder
Effective oral and written communication.
Willing to travel six weeks per year, in one week or less increments.
Proficient computer use
Organized, good attention to detail.
Can perform duties as instructed as well as work with others.
Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle record review.

EDUCATION
Minimum ET or EET Degree in electronics or related field
Valid Driver’s License

 

OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for our Houston office.  The Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing and consolidating the efforts of personnel involved in the overall air testing operations such that customer expectations are met at the highest value possible.

The Operations Manager will coordinate activities with the Sales and Technical Leaders of the department. He/she will have full responsibility for organizing, scheduling and coordinating the test operations. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of quality at an operational level and have full P&L responsibility for the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day to day operations of the air testing department
  • Lead the development of safety programs
  • Continually monitor and adjust department activities and resources to ensure customer expectations are being met.
  • Personnel (health & safety, feedback, performance reviews, project work assignments)
  • Review of proposals and tracking projected financial performance
  • Recruiting
  • Goal setting
  • Control spending and cost of doing business

 Requirements

  • Experience in the air emissions test field.
  • Knowledge of various combustion sources such as power plants and incinerators.
  • Knowledge of EPA air test methods and the ability to quickly learn new ones.
  • Experience with Quality Systems (Ideally ISO 17025 and ASTM D7036)
  • P.E. license in the State of Texas (or abilility to obtain within 2 years) preferred.
  • B.S. in Engineering preferred (other technical degree will be considered), plus a minimum of 6 years of experience, at least 2 of which have been in a leadership role.
