INTERNSHIPS
Our Powell, TN office recruits students for internship or cooperative educational programs. Student interns will become an integral part of our plant performance services team. We look for students interested in learning with a positive hands-on attitude. Interns will support our engineers in the conduct of rigorous thermal or hydraulic performance tests in accordance with ASME, ISO, CTI or similar standards. With an emphasis in the power industry, the performance group of CleanAir evaluates overall plant system and component performance through the measurement of pressure, temperature, power and flow using precision test instrumentation maintained and calibrated at our Powell, TN facility.
The work is challenging - often requiring physical labor in industrial plant settings and deployment of temporary test instrumentation. Each student will be assigned a CleanAir mentor for the duration of the internship. Initial training typically begins in our calibration facility where interns become familiar with the test instrumentation. All interns will become proficient with instrument calibrations and hydraulic flow measurements. Students will typically visit two or more plants each month.
Internships for the Powell office run from May-to-December and January-to-August coincident with the appropriate semester schedule. We prefer junior and senior mechanical and electrical engineering students who are considering full time employment. CleanAir considers the internship program to be an integral part of our full time entry level engineering hiring process.
