FIELD TECHNICIAN
CleanAir's Source Testing Group, based in Palatine, IL, currently seeks a Field Technician. This position, with the oversight of a Field Test Leader, is responsible for working together in a team to conduct emissions testing programs. The work is mostly conducted according to predetermined methodologies. This work is performed in a manner that has safety as its highest priority while collecting data that gives our clients the utmost confidence in our results.
This position primarily functions on field projects at heavy industrial sites (power plants, oil refineries, waste incinerators, etc.) performing emissions testing. The incumbent will, at times, also work in the office, warehouse and laboratory performing administrative tasks, test equipment maintenance / calibrations, and sample analyses.
It is a Technician's primary responsibility to read and understand the test plan, the test methods being utilized, the key role he/she will serve on a project and the safety and test procedures that will be applicable to a project.
Responsibilities:
- Personal safety – securing and maintaining personal safety equipment
- Test equipment maintenance and calibration
- Equipment packing/unpacking
- Equipment setup
- Gas meter operation/probe movement
- Basic sample train recovery techniques and analysis
- Data sheet completeness
- Complete knowledge of EPA Methods 1, 2, 3/3B, 4, and 5/5B. The ability to perform these test methods, analyses, and calculations.
- Successful passing score of SES/QSTI Exam Group 1

OUTSIDE SALES PROFESSIONAL
Cleanir’s Source Testing Group, based in Palatine, IL, currently seeks an outside sales professional. The primary responsibility for the sales rep is to ensure sales growth of the group. 20-50% travel is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and communicate all the features and differentiators of CleanAir
- Develop new sales opportunities
- Provide customers with professional, direct, face-to-face service and develop positive relationships
- Attend trade shows and visit client locations to develop and nurture new business opportunities
- Write proposals and generate presentations for clients
Requirements:
- Self-motivated
- Strong presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information
- 2+ years of relevant experience; both sales or technical experience will be considered
- Previous sales experience is a plus
- Proficient in a Windows based environment
