The sale and support of monitoring instrumentation, as well as the implementation of ambient air and fenceline monitoring projects, is led by CleanAir’s Advanced Monitoring Solutions (AMS) group. This group is comprised of several of the most experienced engineers and scientists at CleanAir, all with 20+ years of experience and complemented by junior electrical, mechanical, and software engineers. CleanAir’s AMS Group is committed to consistently providing its customers with data of the highest quality. The goal for each project is that all data generated is scientifically valid, defensible, comparable, of known, documented, and acceptable quality, and acquired following the best available measurement methods. This commitment is met through the implementation of the following general objectives:

- thoroughly understand and meet customer requirements and those of relevant regulatory authorities,
- abide by all local, state, federal, and specific country laws and regulations,
- use only reliable, adequately maintained, and calibrated equipment,
- apply appropriate testing standards and measurement methods,
- employ a trained specialized staff,
- ensure that appropriate communications are established regarding the effectiveness of the Quality Management System,
- keep abreast of changes in standards and available methods,
- participate in regular independent performance audits, and
- provide authority and resources for initiation and assessment of corrective actions.
The implementation of these objectives is governed by Clean Air Engineering’s Ambient Monitoring Quality Management Plan, which describes CleanAir’s quality control program for its ambient air monitoring services. In 2023, the EPA audited CleanAir’s Ambient Air Monitoring Program and found it compliant with all requirements of performing ambient air measurements to the high standards of State and Local Air Monitoring Stations, including the validation and reporting of data as a Primary Quality Assurance Organization to EPA’s Air Quality System. The audit letter included the following statement:
