The Method 5 Umbilical Tester checks the continuity between the 4 pin Amphenol and the male/female thermocouples to ensure proper wiring. The rotary switch meows the user to isolate each pin to verify that the contact is connected to the correct pin. The 4 pin Amphenol checks continuity between pin A, B, C, D and grounding of the shell.
